The Procurement and Payments Branch is responsible for:

Raising Local Purchase Orders for the purchase of goods and services by Ministries;


The checking and payment of properly authorised bills and accounts presented by Ministries.


The Branch processes more than 45,000 cheques on behalf of the Solomon Islands Government per year and issues more than 2,000 Local Purchase Orders.

The Branch is located in two buildings, both of which are open from 8.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon and from 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. The Revenue Collection Office is located alongside the Ministry near IPAM and can provide information and collect payments. The Procurement and Payments Office is located within the Ministry compound near the Leaf Hut and is available for handling queries from the Chief Accountants of Ministries.
